Does your girlfriend like Korean romance serials? If yes, you can be in some serious trouble. I have nothing personal against Korean serials. It is just that I think Korean serials are a great hindrance to wonderful relationships.
Do you doubt what I say? If you do, I won’t blame you. Regardless, I feel that I have a responsibility to tell you that the girl you fancy (or your girlfriend) have extraordinary expectations when they watch Korean romance serials!
If you really need to blame someone, you can blame Korea producers. Do you understand that Korea dramas seem to place their characters in a limelight where the main male characters are all rich figures with high social status? Moreover, these Korean males are really good-looking.
Girls usually identify themselves as princesses while women identify themselves as ladies. The women who watch Korean serials demand perfection from their boyfriends! This is where all the conflict begins.
You see, many men have asked my advice when their girlfriends demanded to spend more time with them. They face the inevitable question of, “Is she going to question my love for her? Or is she questioning my ambition?” Korean serials love to portray their male leads as leaders of the company who just have too much time for the female leads. Beware! If your woman understands your goals, she will know that you need time to pursue your career.
If you really don’t desire to end the relationship, sit down and have a careful conversation with her. Raise the issue of allowing the both of you to be human and accept each other with all the flaws. Just remember not to insult her Korean idols!
